This is so perfect. When teaching medieval literature I used to hold a class on colour, where we would be looking at Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. I’d serve entirely green food and drink, green up myself - including face paints - and, crucially, offer a prize to the student with the most creative response to colour. Basically everyone would green up and we would vote on who should win. I got great feedback on this precisely because it appeared the spread the joy and the playfulness of the text and of learning together. Bringing in creativity like this felt utterly magical. It also let students go into finals in the spirit of adventure and fun by remembering our beloved colour glass xx
Mandala! Beautiful I like Hockney too
